Amazon’s logo modifies app ‘like Adolf Hitler’. Launched in January, the icon displays an Amazon “smile” logo with a strip of blue tape.
Some observers, however, said that it looked like the Nazi dictator’s moustache toothbrush.
Following customer feedback, the technology giant now turned it into a folded blue tape.
Amazon reported that before the change, the first icon had been tested in several countries.
The Coley Porter Bell branding agency, Chief Executive Vicky Bullen said: ‘Unfortunately Amazon will immediately be associated with a visualization of their parcel tape on the original logo like a moustachet, as this form is forever embedded in our [subconscious] brains, not the very best brand association that wishes to make you enjoy at home.’

A graphic of a shopping chariot was shown on the app logo – which is shown on a smartphone and tablet.
The new design seems to be based on a brown Amazon parcel, which has a smile and a blue tape signature of the company.
Amazon said: “We have created the new icon for customers to spark anticipation, excitement, and joy, as when they watch our boxes outside their door.
“My parents use Amazon almost every day. One customer has tweeted.
“For the next few days, they will be lost.
“I’ll tell them to look for Hitler’s card when they ask where Amazon has gone.”
And another client said: “This is not only a Scottish tape that is torn, but it also’s a Scottish tape that is like it and it’s on the top of a smiling mouth.
Laura Weldon, the founder of Brand Design Studio LWD, stated: “Brands change and constantly tweak their logos.
“They’ve listened to their customers reflects well on Amazon.
“They’re obviously concerned with what their clients say and at the center of what they’re doing.
“Only a good thing can be this.
Many people claim to “see” Hitler’s face in inanimate objects.
An image that looked like a dictator of the Swansea house became viral in 2011.
Several years later, a man “was entirely horrified” to find his new passport picture which made him look like Hitler.
Nor are there any unheard-of brand errors concerning the Nazis.
In 2002 the Umbro sports brand was criticized because the toxic gasses used by Nazis to murder millions of people all over Europe were found to be the same name by one of its trainers.
